PRO SPORTS IQ HELP CENTRE
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Pro Sports IQ, from getting started and understanding model intelligence to managing your subscriptions, tracking results and joining competitions.
Account & Plans
What is ProSportsIQ
ProSportsIQ publishes model-based sports intelligence and provides tools for reviewing evidence, tracking selections with simulated money, exploring matchups and competing for bragging rights.
ProSportsIQ does not place wagers, accept deposits or hold betting funds.
Which sports does ProSportsIQ cover?
ProSportsIQ covers NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, NCAA Football and NCAA Basketball. Available intelligence depends on the schedule, published data and the sports included in your access.
Fantasy is offered separately for NFL, NHL and NBA.
Where is ProSportsIQ available?
ProSportsIQ currently accepts registrations from Canadian provinces and territories except Quebec. You select your province or territory when signing up, and paid plans require an eligible billing address.
If you live outside Canada and are interested in joining, contact us through the ProSportsIQ website.
How does the free trial work?
Verify your email and sign in to start a seven-day sports trial. It includes Daily Intelligence and Model Workspaces for all six sports. No payment card is required to start the trial.
The trial is available once per account. If you join through a pool or custom-competition invitation, you can choose when to start it.
Fantasy is a separate add-on and is not included in the sports trial.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account, bankrolls and tracking history are retained. If you have not purchased a sports plan, choose one on Plans to continue sports access.
Joined pools and custom competitions remain accessible. NFL, NHL and NBA Fantasy tools remain available if you have active access to the relevant Fantasy sport.
Account and Plans remain accessible so you can manage subscriptions and billing.
What plans are available?
ProSportsIQ offers:
-
Daily: Published intelligence, tracking, verified results and standings for one sport.
-
Daily + Workspace: Daily access plus that sport’s research workspace, own-pick tools, pools and custom competitions.
-
All Sports Daily: Daily Intelligence for all six sports.
-
All Sports Daily + Workspaces: Daily Intelligence and Model Workspaces for all six sports.
-
Full Access: A one-sport season pass covering the remaining season, including playoffs, in one payment.
-
Fantasy add-ons: Separate NFL, NHL and NBA Fantasy access.
-
SportsIQ Platform: An annual package covering all six sports, all Model Workspaces, NFL/NHL/NBA Fantasy and Testing & Tuning.
Current prices and available purchase options are shown on Plans. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
How do plans stack?
Your access combines the benefits of your active plans. Adding another sport or workspace adds that coverage to your account.
If you purchase a subscription during an eligible sports trial, the trial continues and subscription billing starts when that trial ends. Review the billing dates shown at checkout and under Your plans.
How do I cancel or change my card?
Open Account or Plans and choose Manage billing when a subscription is listed. These pages remain accessible after sports access ends.
Cancelling a subscription schedules it to end at the close of its paid period. Only that subscription’s access is removed; other active plans remain in place.
Can I display odds in decimal format?
Yes. On Account, choose American or decimal odds.
Displayed odds follow your selection. This changes how odds are shown, not subscription prices or account currency.
Can I use Pro Sports IQ on my phone?
Yes. Open ProSportsIQ in your phone’s browser. You can also add it to your home screen for convenient access.
Are there limits on bankrolls and pools?
Daily plans allow up to 10 open bankrolls you create. Workspace plans allow up to 25. SportsIQ Platform has no open-bankroll limit.
You can create up to five pools per sport, with no pool-creation limit on Platform.
Joining someone else’s pool does not count toward your pool-creation limit. Competition and Double Up bankrolls do not count toward your ordinary open-bankroll limit.
Daily Intelligence
What is Daily Intelligence
Daily Intelligence brings together published model selections, confidence ratings, projected outcomes and supporting market information in one organized view.
What does model confidence mean?
Model confidence is the model’s estimated chance that a selection wins.
It is an estimate, not a promise. A selection estimated at 70% still has an estimated 30% chance of losing. Evaluate performance across many selections rather than judging the model by one result.
Why are there two versions of some picks?
A selection may be published when lines open and again near game time.
Prices—and sometimes the preferred side—can change between the opening and closing versions.
Why is a sport or market missing today?
There may be no scheduled games, or the market may not currently meet the publishing standard.
ProSportsIQ publishes a market only when the model’s tested record supports publishing it. Not every sport or market will have selections every day.
What do the Strategy, Sport, Market, Confidence and Price filters do?
Strategy applies a preset, your saved defaults or one of your saved plans.
The other filters narrow the list further by sport, market, confidence and odds. Each selection card also explains whether it fits your strategy and why it may fall outside it.
What is model edge, and how is it different from confidence?
Confidence estimates the chance that a selection wins. Edge describes the difference between the model and the market.
For a moneyline, edge is the model’s estimated win probability minus the probability implied by the odds, measured in percentage points. For spreads and totals, it compares the model’s line with the published market line.
For example, a 78% favourite priced at −400 has high confidence but a negative probability edge, because −400 implies an 80% chance.
You can set minimum-edge filters on My Strategy. A larger estimated edge does not guarantee a better result, so test thresholds in a Practice bankroll before relying on them.
Where do my saved plans appear?
Saved plans appear in the Strategy selector on Today’s Intelligence and in the Practice Plan selector on My Strategy.
Why do I only see today's picks?
Latest Intelligence opens on today’s games. Choose Upcoming to see all upcoming published selections.
Individual sports have navigation by game day or football week. NFL and NCAA Football also offer This week and Today views.
.
Why did a pick's line change--for example, PHI +8 to PHI +6?
When a selection is republished at a new line, the newest version replaces the earlier version in the current feed.
Each game shows one current selection per market. Review the displayed line and price before tracking it.
Does Pro Sports IQ guarantee winning selections?
No. Pro Sports IQ provides statistical estimates and research tools. Model probabilities, confidence ratings and historical performance do not guarantee future results.
Tracking & Results
What is Track a group?
Track a group lets you select several published picks and save them together as separate singles or as one parlay.
It is available on Today’s Intelligence and in each sport workspace’s Published selections.
Should I use a Practice or Competitive bankroll?
Use a Practice bankroll for private testing.
Use a Competitive bankroll when you want to enter site-wide standings. Competitive bankrolls have a maximum starting balance of $2,500.
Tag each bankroll for the sports you intend to use with it. Creating a Competitive bankroll does not automatically enter you in a competition.
How are my selections settled?
Selections settle automatically from verified final scores.
A selection remains pending until its final score is confirmed and the settlement update is processed. There is no guaranteed settlement time; delayed or corrected results can take longer.
Can I remove a tracked selection?
You can void your own pending selection before its game starts.
After the game starts, the selection remains in your history and settles when a verified result is available.
How is the stake calculated?
The default stake uses your bankroll’s current balance and its default stake percentage.
You can adjust the stake on the slip before saving, subject to the available balance and applicable competition rules.
What happens after I confirm a Practice Plan?
You remain on My Strategy. A confirmation shows how many selections were added and which bankroll received them, with a link to Results.
Can I reopen a closed bankroll?
Yes. Choose Reopen on an archived bankroll to use it again with its history intact.
A reopened bankroll counts toward your open-bankroll limit.
Can I permanently delete a bankroll?
Close the bankroll first, then choose Delete permanently on the archived bankroll and type its name to confirm.
This permanently removes the bankroll and its tracked selections. Export the history first if you want to retain a copy.
Competition and Double Up bankrolls remain archived because other members’ standings depend on their records.
Your Own Picks, Slip & Parlays
Why can't I find a game to pick myself?
Published selections show the model’s published picks. To choose another game or take the other side, open the sport’s Model Workspace, choose Odds vs Model, and press Select game.
Upcoming games without a model comparison can also have a Select game option. Available markets still depend on published odds and data.
Can I pick against the model?
Yes. Where a model side is available, Select game preselects it. Choose the other side to pick against the model.
The slip identifies selections made against the model.
What is the slip?
The slip holds your selections before you track them.
It can hold up to 10 selections, saved as separate singles or as one eligible parlay. It shows the selected side, displayed odds and information about where each selection can count.
Why did the price change when I saved?
The app checks the latest published odds again when you save.
The saved price can therefore differ from the price initially displayed on the slip.
How many legs can a parlay have?
A parlay can contain two to six legs, each from a different game.
Two- or three-leg parlays can count in the Advanced division when they meet its rules. Four- to six-leg parlays are for Practice bankrolls only and cannot count in site-wide standings.
Custom competitions have their own eligibility rules, shown on the competition page.
How is a parlay's combined chance calculated?
The slip multiplies the model probability of each leg as if the outcomes were independent.
Different games can still be related. The combined figure is an estimate, not a guaranteed probability of winning.
Do my own picks count in standings?
Own picks from Odds vs Model can count in the Advanced division.
They can also count in custom competitions whose rules allow them. Standard site-wide divisions count eligible published singles.
Standings & Competitions
How do I join Competitive Standings?
Create a Competitive bankroll with a starting balance of no more than $2,500.
While a challenge is open, go to Standings, choose your sport, division and bankroll, enter a public nickname, accept the display consent and join.
Eligible units come from rule-compliant selections tracked to the enrolled bankroll after joining and before game time, then settled from a verified score.
Which division am I in?
The standard divisions follow your bankroll’s stake percentage:
-
Conservative: 0.1% to 1.5%.
-
Balanced: Above 1.5% to 3.5%.
-
Aggressive: Above 3.5% to 5%.
Advanced is selected separately. It covers all sports, accepts eligible own picks and parlays, and uses a stake range of 0.1% to 5%.
Advanced requires active sports access covering all six sports.
Why does my verified record differ from my eligible units?
Your verified record and eligible units describe different things.
A verified selection from before you joined can remain in your record but contribute no eligible units. Eligible units require the enrolled Competitive bankroll, correct entry timing, sport and division, applicable rules, and pregame tracking.
The leaderboard ranks by eligible units rather than bankroll balance.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
The leaderboard ranks members by eligible units won, followed by the applicable record and tiebreak rules.
For each counted selection, units are its profit divided by its stake. A $10 profit on a $10 stake and a $50 profit on a $50 stake each add one unit.
A minimum number of verified settled selections is required to qualify. The challenge page shows that requirement.
What is a custom competition?
A custom competition is a practice-money competition for one sport, with rules and dates chosen by its organizer.
A member with the relevant sport’s Workspace access can create one and invite up to 49 friends, for a total of 50 participants.
The organizer can set rules covering markets, odds, minimum model confidence, sportsbooks, own picks and parlays. Participants use a competition bankroll and compete on eligible verified results.
Do my friends need a paid plan to join my competition or pool?
No. Friends can create a free account and join using your invitation code or link.
They can participate through the competition or pool page without purchasing a sports plan. Access to the rest of ProSportsIQ remains subject to their trial or plan.
Are there prizes?
No. Standings, custom competitions and pools are for bragging rights.
ProSportsIQ does not accept wagers, hold betting funds or award cash or material prizes.
Pools and Double Up
How do I set up a pool with friends?
On Compete, choose Pool, or open Pools in a sport’s Model Workspace.
Create a Survivor, Pick’em or Against the Spread pool, choose its rules and share the invitation code or link.
Creating a pool requires the relevant sport’s Workspace access. An invite pool can have up to 50 members, including its owner.
What rules can a pool have?
Pools can organize rounds by game day, by week or on a selected weekday. Football pools use the applicable football weeks.
Survivor pools can also allow one to three lives and zero to three re-entries. Standings accumulate across rounds.
Pool rules become fixed once the pool has a pick.
What is a Survivor re-entry?
If your pool permits re-entries, an eliminated player can re-enter for a fresh start.
Earlier picks are set aside, and the player’s available teams and lives are restored. The pool owner determines how many re-entries are allowed.
What is the Pick'em tiebreaker?
If the owner enables it, you predict the combined points in the round’s final game.
Participants tied on the round’s record are ranked by how close their predictions are to the actual total.
When do pools picks lock?
Picks lock five minutes before each game’s posted start time, or once the game is live.
A missing or unavailable start time can prevent a pick from being submitted. Review the status shown beside the game.
When can I see other members' picks?
Other members’ picks become visible once the relevant games lock.
Before then, only you can see your own picks.
Is Double Up completely private?
Double Up’s detailed entry tracking is separate from site-wide competition standings.
However, Double Up has its own leaderboard showing nicknames or initials and verified progress. Participation should not be treated as completely private.
How does the Double Up ladder work?
A verified win completes the week and locks the entry until Monday in Mountain time. The following week’s stake doubles.
A loss doubles the next retry stake. The entry ends when its balance reaches the target or cannot cover the required stake.
The stake ladder doubles—not the return on every winning selection. At American odds −110, a $10 stake wins approximately $9.09.
Does Double Up use the usual strategy confidence presets?
No. Double Up has separate minimum-confidence defaults:
-
Conservative: 66%.
-
Balanced: 63%.
-
Aggressive: 60%.
You can choose a custom threshold. Your entry also requires an eligible published selection at American odds −110 or better, within its selected sports and markets.
Fantasy
Which Fantasy add-ons are available?
ProSportsIQ lists separate NFL, NHL and NBA Fantasy add-ons, each at CAD $11.99 per month.
SportsIQ Platform includes all three Fantasy sports. MLB Fantasy is listed as coming soon.
Check Plans for current pricing and available purchase options.
How do I add NBA Fantasy?
Sign in with your existing account, open Plans, choose NBA under Prices for, and select the NBA Fantasy add-on.
Each Fantasy sport is a separate add-on. Fantasy is not included in the seven-day sports trial.
Is Fantasy included in the seven-day sports trial?
No. Fantasy is a separate add-on.
The sports trial covers Daily Intelligence and Model Workspaces for all six sports.
How do I add Fantasy to my existing account?
Sign in with your existing account and open NFL, NHL or NBA Fantasy to view its add-on on Plans.
If you have a Fantasy access code, enter it in the Fantasy workspace. Use the access code itself rather than its code ID.
Can I use Fantasy after my sports trial or plan ends?
Yes, provided you have active access to the relevant Fantasy sport.
You can still open the Fantasy pages with your existing account after sports access ends. Adding Fantasy does not restart or extend your sports trial.
What Fantasy tools are included?
All three Fantasy sports include Overview, rankings, projections, My Team, Matchup Lab and a Scoring Profile.
NFL has Weekly Rankings. NHL adds Goal Chance. NHL and NBA have Season Rankings when rest-of-season data is published.
Can I match my league's scoring?
Yes. NFL offers Standard, Half PPR and Full PPR presets. NHL offers Standard, Banger and Daily fantasy presets. NBA offers a Standard points-scoring preset.
You can edit the supported scoring values and save them. Rankings and projected points use your saved scoring profile.
The app saves one scoring profile per sport on your account.
What does My Team do?
My Team saves your chosen players on your ProSportsIQ account.
Add or remove players manually. The app does not automatically import external fantasy leagues or submit lineups to them.
Why does Fantasy Overview leave out some players?
Overview normally excludes players already on My Team, making it useful for reviewing other available players.
Choose Include My Team under Show to include your saved players. Search, position and team filters can also narrow the list.
Adding a player to My Team removes them from the available-player view.
How do I compare two players?
Open Matchup Lab and use each player selector to search or filter the available players.
Choose two players to compare their projected points, matchup information and published player details using your active scoring profile.
What is the matchup tag beside an NFL Fantasy player?
It shows how the upcoming opponent changes the published statistical baseline.
Passing and receiving production use the opponent’s pass yards allowed. Rushing uses rush yards allowed. Touchdowns use points allowed.
Each adjustment moves halfway toward the opponent’s difference from the league average, capped at 15% up or down. Interceptions and fumbles remain unchanged.
Open the player card to inspect the matchup figures and historical baseline.
.
What does the NHL goalie matchup tag mean?
Where published, it shows the opposing goalie’s effect already included in the NHL projection.
The tag provides context. That effect is not applied a second time.
What does NHL Goal Chance show?
Goal Chance ranks skaters by their published probability of scoring at least one goal on the selected game day.
This differs from expected goals and fantasy points. You can filter the list by position, team and minimum confidence.
What period do NHL projections cover?
Player cards distinguish next-game statistics, the next seven days and rest-of-season figures where available.
Season Rankings use rest-of-season projected points when those statistics are published.
How are NBA Fantasy projections made?
NBA projections start with a player’s per-game averages for points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers, steals, blocks and turnovers. Early in a season, the calculation also draws on the previous season’s statistics.
Before adjusting a player for a matchup, the model’s scoring projections are normalized across the upcoming schedule. This prevents a general tendency to project scoring too high or too low from moving every player in the same direction.
Each game then adjusts the player’s statistical line according to the team’s normalized projected scoring against that opponent compared with its usual scoring. The adjustment moves halfway toward that difference, capped at 15% up or down.
The Matchup tag shows the effect, and player rows show the number of games that week. Players marked Out receive no projected games while that status applies.
What happens to a player's projection during a BYE?
A player labelled BYE from the published schedule has zero projected points, floor and ceiling for that week.
The player card retains the published historical baseline separately. You can keep the player on My Team for use in a later week.
Are goalie starts and injury indicators confirmed?
Goalie cards distinguish confirmed starts from projected starts.
Injury indicators display reported roster status, game designation and practice information where supplied. Missing information does not establish that a player is healthy or starting.
Are Fantasy projections guaranteed?
No. Projections, floor, ceiling and confidence are estimates.
Review the opponent, availability and projection period before using them. If the workspace is labelled Demonstration data, it contains demonstration records rather than the regular player feed.
Workspaces & Models
What is included in a Model Workspace?
A Model Workspace includes the sport’s games, teams, rankings, matchup views, Odds vs Model, own-pick tools and pools.
Team pages also show roster and injury availability where that information is published.
Why are some values pending?
The workspace displays the values available from its validated published sources.
When a probability, line, injury report or news item is unavailable, it remains pending rather than being presented as a known value.
What does a team page show?
Team pages compare offense and defense using scoring, yardage or the sport’s relevant measures.
Where published, they also show efficiency measures such as points per 100 yards, points per 100 possessions, goals per 100 shot attempts or runs per 100 pitches.
NFL team pages additionally show passing, rushing and return yards allowed.
What is included in the full matchup view?
The full matchup view brings together Overall, Offense and Defense comparisons, the best published price on the model-supported side, and supporting evidence.
Depending on the available data, that evidence can include recent form, trends, head-to-head results, home and road records, rest and schedule strength.
What does strength of schedule mean?
Strength of schedule describes the share of games won by a team’s opponents so far.
For example, 53.1% means those opponents have collectively won that share of their games. A higher percentage indicates a tougher schedule by this measure.
Does using these tools place a wager or change the production model?
No. The tools provide informational analysis and simulated practice tracking.
Your selections, scoring profiles and private testing do not place real-money wagers or change the production model settings.
Can I review previous games and model performance?
Where historical records are available, members can review earlier games, recorded projections and completed results. These tools help evaluate model performance over time, including accuracy and changes in model confidence.
